Thursday Night--Medora, ND...So Charming!

medora is a tiny little tourist-y cowboy town in the badlands of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. our main event on thursday night was the Medora Musical which is in the Burning Hills Amphitheatre. smelling strongly of corndog, we drove a little ways out of town at dusk and followed the signs. we drove up and up and up and then saw that we would walk down and down and down to our seats.

here is a view of the stage from the top...notice you can't even see the seats. this is just what we could see peering over the railing:

this is james trotting down one of the platforms that lead to the seats; i think there about four of these and they drive down the frail people on golf carts. mike told me these used to be outdoor escalators. hmmm...

while meandering down, we were pretty excited to see this elk up on the rim of the canyon!
